Invisalign — The Clear Way to Straighter Teeth

What’s standing between you and your ideal smile? If it’s crooked teeth paired with not wanting to get visible braces, we have good news.

With Invisalign®, you can get perfectly aligned teeth without attaching a single piece of metal to your smile.

At Today’s Dentistry in San Jose, California, Peter K. Lee, DDS, offers Invisalign to adults and teens who want to straighten their teeth without traditional braces. If you want a beautified smile with metal-free, nearly invisible treatment, don’t wait to ask Dr. Lee about Invisalign.

How Invisalign works

When you choose Invisalign, you’re choosing a specialized form of teeth-straightening technology. In lieu of metal brackets attached to your teeth, Invisalign uses clear plastic trays called “aligners” to gently shift your teeth.

During your first Invisalign appointment, Dr. Lee takes a 3D scan of your smile. Using this, he creates your aligners to fit your teeth. They’re even trimmed to fit precisely along your gumline, giving you the most comfortable and least visible fit possible.

The first set of aligners fits over your teeth as they are now. You wear that aligner for two to three weeks — depending on Dr. Lee’s recommendation — to shift your teeth gradually.

You then swap the aligner out for the next aligner in your series, which moves your teeth even closer to their desired positions. By the time you finish wearing your last Invisalign aligner, you have a perfectly straight smile.

Invisalign is convenient and discreet

Dr. Lee chooses to offer Invisalign to his patients for many reasons. A primary reason, of course, is the discreetness of this teeth-straightening system. Because the aligners are made of clear plastic, most people won’t even notice you’re wearing them.

But he also offers Invisalign because it’s designed to fit seamlessly into your life. You can pop your aligners out to eat, play sports, or give a presentation at work. After eating, you just need to brush your teeth before putting your aligners back in to avoid staining them.

Because the aligners are removable, you can also take them out to brush and floss. This is a huge pro over traditional braces, which make flossing a challenging, time-consuming process.

Get the smile you’ve always wanted

Ultimately, Invisalign can help you get your dream smile in the most convenient, least visible way possible. If you want to learn more about this innovative teeth-straightening system, don’t hesitate to call our office at 418-402-3820 or request your appointment online.
